Description
I do have a story behind this painting, but instead of words, I leave you with this picture alone. I wonder what your interpretations would be.Original size: 6000x9000px; done from scratch in Photoshop with some aid from Painter.
This piece was a challenge, mainly to get the technique and mood work together. It took me a LOT of time, especially to get all those little details right.

would it be such a sad thing to remain in stasis, knowing that beauty would be retained in this sordid manner?
i love this work. this is my first comment on anything. i love the way the lighting was done. but the thing i appreciate most would be the dress. the hem of the dress to be exact. the cobwebs was the only indication of the time lapse her, especially the ones nestled on her hair. Ü

...and also the cob-webby thing going on... nice touch!
Some of the perspective seems a little odd, but overall it's definitely the ol' thumbsup!

its a wonderful painting
I wish I could make out what you wrote on the note tho
question do you go out and buy fabric and study it? like lace?
08/09/06 @729
Mythmaker: Ah it's the first time I do a weirder perspective like that so I suppose mistakes were unavoidable =P
Pam: Oh not really

I'm interested to know what the story behind it is, but if i had to guess...
The bird cage looks pretty symbolical here, and the letters...all the spider webs...
Like she has been there trapped for a long time longing for someone that she only gets letters from...
Anyways...
My max

The perspective seems a bit off (just look at the cage and
follow the allignment to the window)
Also the head doesnt fit natural on the neck
But,
my gawd, the fabric, textures and lighting!!
Awesome

The way you painted the details of the dress is insane and look very complex to do. Great job!

the details are very great (bg, dress, scenery set) , but why you didn´t this details in her face and hair? (maybe just my opinion, mean it no harm)

So beautiful, so realistic !!! But the upper left corner shouldn't be left so blank like that.

With the window for instance - the window itself and whats outside needs some noverwork.
Where are her feed? And the dress looks a bit pixelated.
But apart from that its excellent !

From all the cobwebs attached to her I gather that she has been in that position/place for some time. So I’d expect her dress and face to be a little bit dirty too.
Original size: 6000x9000px @ 300 dpi ? what kind of machine are you working on?
